Chapter 6

Sasha had left again to go get food and she had locked me in the building. It's not like I was bored though. I could explore around with the items in the building. I messed with a chair. When you sat in it it rocked. I was rocking in it a bit to hard though and it fell backwards. I let out a yelp of surprise as if feel backwards.

I shook myself. I switched back to my wolf form. I was kinda tired and I was going to take a nap as I waited for Sasha. I walked down to the first floor again. The floor seemed to be darker then before and it wasn't late in the day. That's when I heard something outside. I walked up to the door. I could hear voices and some machinery. I backed away from the wall. I was wondering what was happening when I heard a splintering sound from above. I raced upsairs. I walked to the fifth floor and was welcomed by a flood of light. A huge hole had been knocked in the wall and had taken off the roof!

I changed to my human form. I walked to the remainder of the wall and peered around. In front of me was a crane with a wrecking ball. Down below were several people. One of the people was the oldest of the Dronum boys. I felt a surge of anger. He must have found out that me and Sasha lived here and that she left me in here. He knew I was a wolf so he turned me in. Now they were attempting to scare me out of the building.

I caught a movement with the top of my eye. The wrecking ball was coming my way. I jumped out of the way right as it smashed were I was standing. The floor caved in carrying me with it. I landed on a piece of wall. I ran for the stairs. I had to get out before I got smashed. I was on the second floor when I heard a crash. I heard another as the debreise hit the floor above me. Then I heard a moan and a crack and everything went dark.



I woke up. Everything was spinning and it was dark. I was trapped under the debris. Then I heard a crunch as the wrecking ball destroyed the last floor. I was smushed and hit with more debris. I relized at this time I was in my wolf form. I was bleeding and I was starting to drool blood. I heard another crack. I hadn't fallen yet. I heard another as the building caved in on itself. For a breif second I could see light. I seemed to hover as the debris fell. Then I was hit with another piece of wall as it fell and the light was sealed off.


I woke up again. The debris had clogged the ceiling of the first floor. I had a perfect exit to the front door. I tried to move. I couldn't I was pinned under the piece of wall. It was suffecating. It hurt to breath and I couldn't move anything except my head and one of my legs that was sticking out. The rest were pinned under my body. I tried to pull myself out with my left forleg. It was no use. I had to wait for them to come for me. But I was terrified to see the light fade from the window. They weren't coming for me. I lay my head down. There was nothing I could do.



I heard a creak. It was pitch black. I opened my eyes. I had fallen asleep after a while. There was a little moon light shinning in. I looked at the door. Sasha slipped in. She gave a chough. The air was full of dust. She pulled something out of her pocket. She turned on the flashlight. She swept the flashlight across the debris. She saw me at last. She let out a gasp of horror. I looked around. I found out why. There was a puddle of my blood under me. I swallowed. I wondered where I got hurt at. My belly or my back?

Sasha walked over to me. She neeled down. "I'm so sorry Lisk. I shouldn't have left you. They always do stuff like this when I'm gone and I can't protect you. Are you in pain" I let out a whine. "How come you don't change into a human" I let out another whine. I had tried earlier but I couldn't concentrate on it. "You can't can you" I lay there. "I'll take that as a yes. List I'm sorry but I have done my homework to. I am going to have to muzzle you" I started to whine "No. I'm doing this for when I pull you out. If your in pain you'll bite me when I help you out if I don't. Then I can't help you at all" I calmed back down. "Only for now. I saw what happened earlier and I had to wait for them to leave so I went to a store and spent some of my money and bought a dog muzzle" She pulled a leather muzzle out of her backpack.

The muzzle was designed to just fit over my muzzle and clip near my neck. It was like a giant bandage going over my muzzle as she slid it on. She clipped it behind my head near my neck. I tried to open my jaws but no matter what I couldn't get it off not even with my one foot. I nodded to her. I was ready.

She first grabbed my forleg that was pinned under me. She pulled it from under me and I let out a muted yelp. It was cut up and bloody. She grabbed me right under my shoulders then and pulled. I felt a pain course through my whole body. I tried to open my jaws and bite her but it didn't work. I thrashed my front legs to try and get her to stop but the more I tried the more she pulled. Then I came out. As I came out the wall collapsed right were I would have been. I lay there. Sasha slowly took off the muzzle and put it back in her backpack. Then we both passed out.
